The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the registration deadline for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2026. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate programs can continue submitting their applications through the official KEA portal. The registration process originally commenced on March 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM and was scheduled to close on April 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM. As per the latest update, the application deadline has now been extended till April 30, 2026 (11:59 PM). Additionally, candidates can complete the application fee payment process until May 5, 2026.
Karnataka PGCET 2026 is conducted for admission to various postgraduate programs such as MBA, MCA, M.E., and M.Tech. offered by participating institutions across Karnataka. The examination will be held in offline mode using an OMR-based format. Each paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), carrying one mark each, for a total of 100 marks.
According to the official examination schedule, the Karnataka PGCET 2026 exams will be conducted on May 23 and May 24, 2026. The M.E./M.Tech. examination is scheduled for May 23 (Saturday) from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. On May 24 (Sunday), the MCA examination will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by the MBA examination from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. KEA has also stated that non-programmable calculators will only be permitted for candidates appearing for the M.E./M.Tech. examination.

Step 2: Under the “Admissions” section, select “PGCET-2026 (M.Tech/ MBA/ MCA/ M.Arch)”.
Step 3: Click on the “PGCET-2026 Online Application” link available on the homepage.
Step 4: Read the instructions carefully before proceeding. New applicants should click on “Proceed to Registration for New User”, while existing applicants can select “Proceed to Login for Registered Users”.
Step 5: Complete the registration process by entering the required details to generate your login credentials.
Step 6: Log in using the generated credentials and fill out the application form with the necessary personal, academic, and contact information. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 7: Proceed to pay the application fee through the available online payment options. Carefully review all the entered details before clicking on the “Submit” button.
Step 8: Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference and admission-related processes.
